Veerbhadrasana l (Warrior's Pose I)

Introduction
Veerbhadrasana I is a pose from the series named after a powerful warrior in Hindu Mythology ' Veerabhadra ', a fierce warrior,who is said to symbolize our inner ability to overcome all of our inner demons.The warriors challenge each other and test themselves and in doing so they build up the strength, focus and courage.

How to do

  1. Stand in Tadasana position.
  2. Rise both of the arms above the head and stretch firmly, joining the palms together.
  3. Spread the legs apart in a comfortable distance (Min 4 to 4½ feet).
  4. Shift the body slightly towards the front leg,bend the front leg, ensuring that the the thighs are parallel to floor.
  5. Stretch the chest and spine, and look above.

  6. Hold the posture for at least 20 seconds.

  7. Slowly resume back to original position
  8. Repeat on the opposite side.
